Here, we only consider LAN setup and setup via a GUI.
Install the rpm from the brother home page:
sudo rpm -ihv --nodeps ql1060nlpr-1.0.6-0.i386.rpm
Go to Settings -> Devices -> Printer
Add Printer
Enter the network address or name. (although the printer should be detected automatically).
Chose an LPD version
